The LLT Lab creates data that helps to make legal knowledge operational and computational. We work with our collaborators to determine the types and formats of data that are needed. For some projects, data take the form of annotated legal texts, while for other projects the emphasis is on the logic structures themselves more than the text. While the validity and reliability of the data are always necessary properties, the precise nature of the data depends upon its use in each particular project. Currently, we are creating data for vaccine-injury compensation claims, medical malpractice judicial decisions, and veterans claims.
