The Research Laboratory for Law, Logic and Technology (LLT Lab) at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University conducts empirical research on the reasoning structures found in legal texts. Its mission is to use linguistic analysis, a logic-based analytic framework, and state-of-the-art technology in order to create knowledge, skills and tools that enhance legal practice and legal education, and in particular increase access to justice for the poor and under-represented. The faculty and students who are members of the Lab pursue its vision by developing its methodology and products, and developing applications in collaboration with its various partners.
